Published

Hello I’m from nyc. And I’m looking for a ASBN program. My prerequisite grades are first A&P1 D A&P 1 B- Chem1 - C

First A&P2 C. A&P2 -C+ Orgo B-

Micro B- Stats first time C retake A

my first two year school I have a 2.4 gpa and in my second school I got a 3.0 overall gpa. I have my bachelors in science and I have health care experience as an emt. I’m having a hard to apply to nursing school and knowing the right one to apply to. Can someone tell me some ASBN programs that I would be able to get into. Thank you

I'm not in NYC, but I'm going to be straight up with you. Those grades are not fantastic for any nursing program anywhere, with the exception of the "A" in Stats. I'm sorry to say it, but it's the truth.

Is there any way you can try to retake your classes for a higher grade? I know that will take time, but I honestly think you might be just wasting your time in applying everywhere with those grades. If you retake and try to get solid A's and B's, you might have a fighting chance.

Hopefully one of the members here that work with nursing school admissions might chime in here to help you out more.

Most ABSN schools require a minimum 3.00 for entry. Then you have the prerequisites. What you have to keep in mind is that you are going up against a lot of people who have 4.00 in all their prerequisites and have above 3.00 in their GPA of their Bachelor's degree.

I really wish you well in finding something, but I really think you might want to do the retakes and then apply like crazy.

Good luck to you.

Sorry I just reread this and it appears you've already retaken most of them. I don't know if you go to another school if you can retake them again, but if you can I'd definitely do that.
