Gpa to get into nursing school

Nursing Students School Programs

I really want to get into nursing school. I'm trying to apply to accelerated programs because I already have a degree. If I get an A in anatomy I believe I'll have a 3.5 gpa. I know it's super hard to get into nursing school now. It's my passion and I don't know what I'll do if this doesn't work out. Has anyone got into an accelerated programs with or around a 3.5? And does anyone know about Oakland university's program ?

It really depends on the school. Some won't even consider with you without a 3.5. Others you could be have a relatively decent shot at admittance with a lowish 3. Every school takes different factors into account as well. For some the hard science gpa is even more important than the cumulative gpa. If that is the case with your school an A in anatomy should really serve you well. For pretty much any school anatomy is considered an incredibly important class, so that A in that specific course is likely more important than As in many other classes. Find out your schools specific criteria, and average acceptance details. If you can exceed those, or even meet them you should have a good shot. Theoretically you could even perform lower than their average, and have a shot. Don't shoot for for the average acceptance grades try to beat them.
