Waiting to hear about selections!

  1. Well, it has been six long months. All the paperwork, passing MEPS, waiting, waiting, Chief Nurse Interview, more waiting.....now the time has come. My packet has been sent to the board and I will find out sometime in November if I have been selected as a candidate for NTP in the AF Nurse Corps. I am so excited!! If I am selected, then the next step would be to graduate in May, take the NCLEX, get commissioned, and then off to COT I will go, probably sometime in August of 2008. My recruiter has told me he believes I will be selected based on my GPA, interview, etc., and the chief nurse I interviewed with told me that the interview weighs heavily on the selection process and she put me down as a select, soooooo...I just have to wait. Wish me Luck everyone!

Hey Jazzy! Good luck to you! I've been waiting over a year now...finally going to board right now also. I am an RN already, with graduate degrees, but it has been a long process! I need to do NTP because I haven't been clinical in a few years. Willing to do it though. Can't wait to finally get the word!!!

Keep us posted. I will do the same.
