Seeking army nurse reserves process info

So I have been working with a recruiter to sign up for the Army Nurse Reserves. I'm just trying to figure out the details of the process from a nurse perspective. How hard was the process, did they reach out to your bosses, how long was the process, did you get in. Any pointers to make my application stand out. I would love to hear your views.

Thanks in advance

There's definitely a background investigation that involves your practice, travel history and foreign dealings, criminal history, sexual offenses and abuse, actual letters of reference, memos from your malpractice carrier, etc. This is along with medical (H&P+) review by physicians. It's rather scrutinous and annoying, although not as scrutinous as other backgrounds I've done, but it has purpose in separating the wheat from the chaff.

I'm close to finishing the process for AR Nurse Corp. There's a few things I can tell you.

I started the process in Feb 2017. I boarded in Oct 2017 got selected November 2017 scrolled in May2018 Signed my contract June 2018 and got orders late sept 2018.

But everyone's process will be different depending on AOC (specialty). It's a marathon not a sprint. Patience will run low for sure. Stay positive and focused. You want to follow up frequently with your recruiter.

Depending on your civilian specialty try to get certified to stand out.
