Hello, I'm thinking about becoming a nurse in the military but would like some insight from current or past military nurses. What is a typical week like for a RN officer? What additional duties and meetings are they obligated to attend? Thank you for any and all responses.

There are many threads on the All nurses Government/Military Nursing page that go into great detail. Please look through them and ask more specific questions. It's typically like any civilian RN staff nurse job, except there's an expectation that you could deploy as often as 6 months out of every 2 years. During a deployment, you could work just about every day and you're far away from any family or friends.
