Got placed on the Alternate list at CPCC

Hi guys, I just recieved my letter from CPCC and I was not accpeted, but I was put on the alternate list. Do I have a good possibilty of still getting into the program for fall. What does alternate exactly mean?

An alternate means that for every student that does not accept their acceptance, the spot is then given to an alternate. For instance, if you are alternate #3, then 3 people would have to give up their spot before the acceptance would be offered to you. DON'T LET THIS GET YOU DOWN because sometimes many students that are accepted will have numerous reasons why they cannot accept the acceptance. What alternate # are you if you don't mind me asking? CPCC is a large school. In fact, the largest community college in NC. Good luck to you

I was waitlisted #13 did not get in,then the next sem I was wl #15 and got in! People apply to more than one school, things come up and there is paperwork, background check, ect to turn in by certain date or they lose the spot- that is how I got in..I finish in December-woot! I have loved my CPCC experience!

I just applied to the program and I was wondering if my teas score was good enough to get in. I got a 26.05 out of 30. What did you score on your teas exam?

:heartbeat:heartbeatI was wondering the same thing! I am currently waiting for my acceptance letter (RCCC) and for some reason I have this gut feeling that I will be placed on the alternate list this year (due to not having all pre-reqs before Jan 1st).:heartbeat:heartbeat

I was #10 on the alternate list at GTCC and was accepted...they ended up going all the way up to like #43 on the list. As other posters have stated...people are accepted to other schools and decide to go there instead...Mainly FTCC here in the triad area. Don't give up, there is still hope!

What is a good teas score?
