Okay so I got my unofficial review back. I got credit for most of my general ed requirements except for these three - Lifespan Developmental Psychology Core, Sociology Core, and Additional Social Sciences. I'm going to find out why they say I need Info Literacy since the nursing catalog clearly states that if you completed a Masters since 1995 this is is waived. Other than these all I need are the nursing courses, A & P, and Micro.
My question is, has anyone CLEPed the three social science courses I mentioned and who did you go through?

I think instantcert.com is the best resource. It gives you the info and prepares you for the CLEP testing style for $20 a month. Honestly, you could probably do one CLEP a week (or however your schedule works) and be done with it, if you use that. You don't really need anything else, with that site.

Hopefully you can clear this up by speaking with an advisor and they will change the deficiency. Sometimes one can get EC to change their decisions on accepting/not accepting credits.

I apologize. I rechecked my email from Excelsior and it is 1995 and I completed graduate degree in 1993.
Please let me know if they exempt Lit Info because I have a MS and was told that I could not exempt since it was more than 5 yrs ago.

just a heads up if you do have to take info lit it's super easy at your own pace and took me 2-3hrs one afternoon to do it! I had them give me credit for my social sciences though by talking to an advisor i was told it was "overlooked" and they would have corrected it upon enrollment anyway when it gets relooked at .

i went through this with them last year as well. on the unofficial review, they dont grant the lifespan dev. psych or sociology. but............... thankfully when they do the final review they do grant credit for it! if it still doesn't grant credit on the final, i would call them because i took those same course at the local college and they did accept them. good luck!
Thanks to everyone. My plan is to knock out as much stuff as I can before I "officially" enroll. Way too many end of year expenses (Xmas, car for my sixteen year old, house and land taxes, etc.) to add anything to it right now.
