Hello all fellow nurses!!!
I PROMISED myself that i would be back on this site after i took the boards (if i failed or passed) because this is where i came to when i was doubting myself. I got so much relief from everyone's posts i wanted to share my story on how i passed the NCLEX and how you can, too!
I took Kaplan in March and loved their tips and strategies. The decision tree was confusing to me but Kaplan taught me how to know what the question was asking and how to pick the best answer.
Don't let the number discourage you!! i believe as long as you are getting above 50% and reading all of the rationales, you will succeed. be sure to understand WHY you got the questions wrong, and if something doesn't make sense go back and look it up.
Here were my kaplan scores:
Readiness:62%
Diagnostic: 58%
Question Trainer 1: 57%
Question Trainer 2: 53%
Question Trainer 3: 51%
Question Trainer 4: 55%
Question Trainer 5: 58%
Question Trainer 6: 53%
Question Trainer 7: 54%
Sample Test 1: 44%
Sample Test 2: 60%
Sample Test 3: 70% (all leadership, prioritization, management)
Sample Test 4: 40% (alternate format)
QBank: I finished ALL the questions and my scores ranged from 46%-70%
I hope that this helps you all. just practice questions!!! study hard!! it will all be over soon. believe in yourself and you can do it!
