I'm in my last semester of nursing school and recently got a job offer as a student nurse assistant in the OR at a local hospital. I am very excited and a bit scared at the same time about what my responsibilities will be. I will be working a couple of days a week and try to balance clinicals and class work.
I have only had a handful of experiences in the OR during clinicals, but very much enjoyed the experience. I was wondering what kind of responsibilities do nurse assistants have in the OR? I was also told this is where I'll likely get hired after graduation in May if I pass the NCLEX. Thanks

Usually it's helping position patients, running specimens, cleaning between surgeries, and things along that line. There usually isn't much patient interaction.
