Got an interview!!!! Now I need advice

Published

I got the call today from University of Missouri (columbia) for an interview for the PNP/DNP program!!! YAY!!! Just wondering what the odds are of getting an interview and actually being admitted. I know its definitely not a guarantee, but it has to be a good sign....right??? Anyone interviewed yet? What kinds of questions did they ask? The interview will be via Skype. Excited but scared to death!!!!

Congratulations! My advice is if you can fly over to their school and have a face-to-face interview that would be better so you can establish a connection and show your enthusiasm.

Wish I could :/ it's not financially possible to travel from NC to MO right now. I'm assuming that they totally understand being that this is a 100% online program and most of the student population would be out of state. But I do wish I could.

^ I know the feeling. I opted for a phone interview once and when I didn't make it, I couldn't get over that little detail. I felt like I should have been there personally. Anyway, since this is an online program, my advice is to show the interviewer that you have the resources to succeed in an online program. By resources, I mean --- how are your time management skills? So you need to be able to show them that you are excellent in that. You can cite a few examples where you took online courses and got A's. You also need to show them that you are adept with computers. How are your computer skills? That's a general question, too.

Who did you interview with? What other questions did they ask?
