Ok, so far I will be done in May this year. Can't wait. I am doing my practicum right now. And so far I have applied for three (3) positions at this hospital where I do my practicum. I had one interview, still waiting for the other two. I got interviewed for Resource Team, still waiting for Critical Care, and Psych. My main goal is to get into Critical Care as I want to be a CRNA in the future. As a new grad, does it matter where you start? I really wanted to get into ICU. How easy is it to get into ICU from other areas once you start? I am still waiting to hear if I get the Resource Team job or not. Any idea of where to start as a new grad will be appreciative. Thanks!

I would start in critical care from the get go, you'll need a year or two of experience on average before you'll be able to transfer, depending on availability and your facility needs. Is the resource position like the extra pair of hands in the unit, provide breaks, transport etc? New grads don't usually get those positions depending on the acuity.
That's what I am looking into. I pray the plan fall thru. Yea it's pretty intense too, you work in up to 11 units a resource team nurse.
