Got through my first semester of LPN course....whew!!!

Published

I am taking the LPN course through a community college here in SE AL and it's been a week now since I took my finals. It was brutal to find out that we had so much on our plate for the first/spring semester, especially for me. I am a full-time student and a full-time CNA in a nursing home and I am trying to enjoy my three weeks of break from school before the summer starts. We were already warned about summer school and how it's going to be fast paced and fully loaded for it is only ten weeks and we have adult and maternal/child nursing to take. On top of that, most of us have to squeeze in English Comp I (I have to take mine online). I graduate this coming December and hopefully pass NCLEX, then take a short break from school to work, and then go for my RN. To all the nursing students in here.... "Hang in there!!!"

Good for you on making it thru your first semester. it just goes by sooo fast. i got six chapters of pharm to read before our test next monday, i feel pretty good about it been having my head in the book forever. sometimes i don't think i can take anymore classes just so much is being piled up on us at once. but i gotta hang in there.

No longer waiting - I got in to the part time LPN program. Two nights per week and one day of clinicals. Any suggestions? This forum has been a great source of encouragement for me. CNA to LPN
