We hire RNs every few months so if you called me now I would not be hiring until June. I often check what shifts the RNs will work and if they will take part-time if I do not have a full-time position open. I would check back in two weeks. Do not say "I am checking on the status of my application". Make sure you have an updated resume with your e-mail and a current phone number. Do not block your calls and have an appropriate phone message. Positions open up and the recruiter will call the appropriate candidates. I have 150 RN applicants for 4 part-time positions.

So I get a call from a recruiter at a great hospital. I get really excited & nervous to call him back. I speak to him and he says that they are not hiring now but wanted to know if I was willining to work night shift if something comes up. So does this mean that he will keep me in mind if something does come up? Did he say they are not hiring because I said something wrong? I'm just not sure why he would call if they are not hiring? Do I call back in 2 weeks? Any advice is Greaty appreciated! :)
