Im having a terrible time waiting for my letter of decision from GC. I pretty much stalk the mail man..and it is not even eight weeks :uhoh3:..I am looking for friends along this waiting process..has anyone heard anything about when the letters will go out?.. 8 weeks like the website says.. or will they take longer possibly until Oct. 30??.. I have heard that some people have already gotten denial letters. Do they send them out first? Soo ready to just have the letter in my hand so i can stop living in limbo. Anyone having this problem? :banghead:

No word on this session yet

I think ljbass' sister got in last time, but really the grades vary between app sessions. It all just depends on rank of applicants. If the highest gpa is 3.8 then you can probably expect the gpa's to be between 3.5-3.8. Last time I did not get in with a gpa of 3.68. I have heard of some getting in a few sessions ago with 3.1 which is what I based my chances on last semester. I do believe they are evaluating this session differently than they have in the past. Someone posted a points system on here a while back that they were told was being used. We just will not know until the letters are sent out what kind of scores will be getting in this time. Hopefully it will be soon!

Specializes in Pre-nursing.

My sister did get in for this semester...she said her GPA was between 3.4 and 3.5 and she made a 68 on the TEAS, but she had all her core completed prior to applying....idk.

The whole situation is just making me crazy

Hi Guys,

A girl in my history class was accepted into the LPN-bridge program--they WILL NOT be a part of spring entry-they will start with the class that started in the fall. She said 15 LPN's were accepted. So the good news is-their numbers will not affect the 100 seats that are available.

Also, the LPN's are still taking there pre-tests--they have onely done one-although it does not affect our numbers this may effect when they will send out our letters. I guess they are really sticking to the Oct. 30th date. The letters are to be sent out by Oct. 30th, so maybe the end of next week. Its beyond frustrating.

Hey guys, havent heard anything from Gordon yet but I did get accepted at Clayton State. I got my letter today so I'm so happy about that. Good luck to every body.

Congrats on your acceptance. :yeah:

Are you going to attend Clayton St.?

Very good question.

Congrats to your sister... What program was she accepted to? ADN, LPN-RN, or RN-BSN???

And yes they are evaluating admissions on a points system (can't remember who asked). I met with my advisor today and she pretty much told me I wasn't getting in because I haven't completed all of my core. That is not official though, she said anything was possible and not to be discouraged. She advised me to apply again for Fall/2012 semester. She also said letters would be mailed out either tomorrow or next week. :crying2:

Congrats... Clayton State is tuff to get into! You should be very proud!!! What was your GPA, TEAS score etc...

Thanks everyone. Yes I will be going to Clayton, but please know that I would have taken Gordon as well. I have heard nothing but good things about them. Clayton is also closer to my home which equals to more study time than drive time. Someone wanted to know my Stats ( M&S was a 3.2 Teas 85.3) I know that it not all that great but I heard that Spring semester is not that competative at Clayton but I dont know how true that is.

Again Good Luck to everyone!!:o

Hey, I also was accepted to Clayton State's BSN program for Spring 2012. I'm considering (very likely) going to Clayton State. Maybe now I can leave a seat open for someone on the waiting list at Gordon if I am accepted.
