Gordon College-Fall 2009

Published

Hey,

Is there anyone here that was admitted for fall 2009 at Gordon College?

Know what....I may be interested. I'll shoot you an email here soon. Thanks!!!!

Phrozenone- Do you mind sharing your GPA/TEAS score? I'm hoping to apply for the spring and I have a 83% overall TEAS and I was wondering should I retake.

I was a transfer student with an AA, so they only took some grades from me. I had a 2.8 at Gordon and a 77% on Teas

OK, I look out for your email.

Hey, my GPA is a 3.75, but I already have a Bachelors. I just had to take a few classes at GPC to finish my pre-req's up. My TEAS....if I can remember, was like a 78 or 79 or something. I'll check later to get an exact number. So you're applying for the Spring? Can you give me some info on the program? How was it? What kinda Stethescope did you have to have? Uniforms etc?

cmephe22- So do u think a 3.1 and a 83% on the teas would be sufficient? Or should I retake to get a higher score since my GPA isn't that great. I am worried because I am currently at a university and I plan to transfer to gordon just to take some classes for the fall since I've heard that they give points for taking classes there. I just don't wanna move and not get in!

Thats funny because I took all my classes in another state. My gpa and teas score were much lower than yours. I dont know what they look for but if you've completed all the required classes I can't see why they won't chose you.

The kind of supplies needed were: foley kits, sterile gloves, stethescope (i had the the lithman), bp cuff, needles, vials, personal protective equipment,.... You have the to buy the uniform from them........... The easiest two classes you will have is pharmacology and Lab. Clinicals are not hard, just time consuming. You will enjoy it.

Personally, I was told that anything above a 2.5 is considered pretty good. As far as the TEAS, Gordon doesn't have specific score that they are looking for when accepting students. They generally take the best scores of the students that are taking the TEAS at that given application period. Just my .02 cents...that was told to me by my advisor at Gordon.

Thank You Guys so much! One last question, about how many people do they admit?

If I'm not mistaken, it's like 80 each semester...so like a total of 160 a year. You should definitely apply, you have absolutely nothing to lose...go for it!
