Good Samaritan Hospital San Jose New Grad Fall 2016

Just wanted to start a thread for anyone that applied/interviewed with Good Sam in San Jose for their October 2016 staRN New Grad program!

Has anyone heard anything about their interview procedure? (i.e. Is it 1 or 2 rounds? When they'll get back to us, etc.)

@aflee1 I believe they said 15 people for all units. They interviewed about 40 people

@xd94 I have no idea :/ sorry! I know that I had to turn in my decision to accept or not by today so I would assume they have let everyone know... If people don't accept though they may be sending other people emails that they got in so that may be why they're waiting to send denials.

Has anyone received any rejection letters yet? I interviewed last Thursday and was told I would hear something by the end of this week. Still nothing. Thanks!

I spoke to HR earlier this week and was told the first batch of offer letters were sent out last week. She said once they see how many people accept, they might send out a second batch. I was told we should hear something again in a few days. If you go on the New Grad RN - Bay Area CA facebook page, there are some people talking about the StaRN new grad program and even made a page. Check it out!

Has anyone gotten any more info? Still waiting as well and during my thursday interview was told to expect something by the 19th of august... hope we all hear something soon!

i am in the program and they told us that all offers have been finalized & accepted, so I assume if you haven't heard anything that you didn't get in. :/

Hey there! Did they offer positions on the Mother-Baby Unit at all?

If so... what charting system do they use and how is the group dynamic on the unit?

It's almost been a year since I graduated and this is my last chance to get into a new grad program. I'm really nervous and would gladly take any advice for the interview.

And how's everyone liking the program/Good Samaritan so far??

I also applied to this year's spring cohort and received a call earlier today from GSH, but the voice mail corrupted or something and now I have a blank voice mail =( When I called back it turns out its the operator and they have no idea who to trace it to...

Did you also receive an email for the interview? I'm really hoping I didn't miss out on an interview because my phone malfunctioned.

Edit: Worked out a solution thank to some google magic and retrieved the voicemail. We'll see how it goes next week.
