After reading through some posts on this forum, I see that some home health agencies are terrific (in terms of time and quality of orientation, providing the skills and equipment you need, and overall employee appreciation) and others should be avoided like the plague:nono:.
In 6 months to a year I would like to move to the Boston/ Cambridge area and pursue home health/private duty work. I am a BSN prepared RN with 6 months experience in med/surg and currently working in LTC. I'm having difficulty finding information on various home health care agencies. So far I've come up with this list:
1) kestonehomecare.com
2) partnershomecare.org
3) privatuscare.com
4) centrushomecare.com
5) gentiva.com (although I didn't see many jobs for Boston)
6) associatedhomecare.com
...but I was wondering if any of you know of some agencies that I might be missing and maybe you all know of the "good" agencies versus the ones to steer clear of
All input greatly appreciated.
Any tips on getting into home health care in MA?
