Gone off the deep end...reading texts for fun now!

Sometimes I worry about my desire for pursuing crna...last week I bought the baby Miller text and this week I started reading it. I look at it and think, ok, I def have to find a way to go to grad school if I am reading texts for fun now!

I figure I can take it at my leisure and learn here and there...and maybe I won't sound like so bad during any interviews, :)!

I sigh when I flip thru the book and see the o-chem staring back at me again...but also get interested since I know the actual info is geared to anesthesia!

Anyway, though I would post that maybe I am more wound than many of you! No one seems to be quite so nuts! :p

You're not the only one! I am reading a pathophys book and websites about medical Spanish. I think I'm ready for grad school!

Im in the same boat. i got a few anesthesia books on my kindle that i've been reading off and on. I remember when you couldnt pay me to read a book either, oh how times have changed. Finally got my ICU job though so its t- minus 1 year before i get to see if it doing any good

hey thanks guys!

and congrats on the position blucrna! I feel like I have been in school forever so it was weird NOT reading a text!

You're definitely not alone....it seems like everyone and their mother wants to be a CRNA these days.

Yeah dgabe, it does seem like many want to be crnas. I end up telling people I have been wanting to go to school since long before it was popular! More than 10 years now I have been working on being ready.Although we have had 5 from my icu go off to school in the last 3 years, none of them have started reading books before School! Hence the post! But I am glad to still be excited about it.
