Just wondering.....did you get accepted to Barnes and have you already graduated? I am just trying to get my pre-reqs done.
i was wondering if you can give me more info on the waitlist?
does the waiting list go by quickly? i asked my adviser who really is not any good of help with me but she said the waitlist doesn't go by quick but from what i've been reading on the threads, it does. i was told i was for :
fall 2012 # 78
spring 2013 #90
summer 2013 #50
fall 2013 # 15
spring 2014 gurantee a spot.
with numbers that high do you think theres a chance to start in fall 2012? my adviser never said i didnt have to complete all the pre reqs to apply. i couldve got in by now.
I'm not sure how quickly the waitlist go by but I can give you an idea of how many are accepted into each program. I graduated from the accelerated program in December 2011 and we had 50 people start in our class. The upper division class had 70-75 people start at the same time. I applied a year and a half before my start date and was accepted without being put on the waitlist. When I applied the advisor told me they fill up fast and accept people on a rolling basis. I don't think that many people that get accepted into the program will give up their spots unfortunately. Most likely you will be looking at Fall of 2013 or Spring 2014 unless they have increased the number of students that they accept into each program. I would still keep in touch with the advisor every few months to see if your spot on the waiting list has moved up.
I applied in November '11 and got placed on the waiting list for Fall 2012. When I inquired about my position on the waiting list in March '12 I was #17. I received a phone call yesterday informing me a spot opened up for me. I'm not sure what number I started out with, but hopefully that helps some!

If you're upper division you shouldn't have clinicals the first semester! (awesome) Patho is hard (i've heard...but i took mine at a diff college), pharm is ok- will depend on ur teacher, intro and success sessions will take zero time. It seems like as you have fewer classes as you go through school it would get easier, but first and second terms were decent, 3rd was miserable (i was full time in summer) and 4th is just getting started, i guess we'll see!
