none for me :( they're really cutting it close with timing! They said June 10th is the latest and I'm shocked they haven't sent or given a sign update

yes I am checking my email like a crazy person. on the website it says no later than June 10th so im assuming it can be sent out any day now up until the 10th. but yes it is cutting it close.

 I think only the acceptance emails have been sent . Maybe they're saving us the denial until after the weekend 🤣 congratulations to all of you accepted ! Here or any other school! One step closer 🙌🏽

Hi all! I've been following these threads the last few application periods but never was accepted. Still not accepted but today at 436 I got an email saying I'm in the alternate pool! 
 

"

Thank you for filing your application to the School of Nursing at Golden West College.  Based on the documents you submitted and your academic record, you are a qualified applicant. Your application is in the alternate pool which is only offered to a select group of students. It is important to know that we do not rank  students in the alternate pool. 

 

If an admitted student declines their spot and we have already contacted the numbered alternates, we will select an application from the alternate pool and you may be offered admission in the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 class. Selection is based on the highest Multi-Criteria points in the pool. If there are applications with the same point total, then random selection is used to determine who is admitted.

 

In the past few semesters, we have placed about 20 alternates in each class. We do not maintain a waitlist.

 

Alternates can be contacted as late as August for Fall entry and January for Spring entry. Alternates who are not selected for entry are encouraged to reapply 

during the next application filing period in 2025.”


I'm keeping my fingers crossed, not getting my hopes up, but also glad to not get an absolute no! Super confusing emotions because the same thing happened for me for cypress last year but didn't make it to accepted. Keeping my hopes up for everyone else!!
