Going to VIP trip to Balboa 3/19/08...

Is anyone besides me going to visit Balboa? I'm in the process of picking my 3 choices to be stationed and the Navy is sending me to San Diego. Is anyone else going?

Also does anyone know what is involved in these trips? Who will I meet, what shall I wear? Any input is appreciated!!!

As far as what to wear, I would wear something professional, business suit, I would not wear shorts and a t-shirt. keep in mind you will be seeing these people again, so make a good first impression. Concerning who you are going to meet, that all depends on who's available when you go. I figure the Director of Nursing for the command, maybe the head of the Nurse Intern program to name a few.

Wear something profesional. I was on the question ans answer panel for the last round of MED VIP visits. You will meet other nurses the Director of Nurses. Junior nurses will also be available to answer your questions. I work high risk antepartum and postpartum, NICU, and L&D. If you are interested in any of these areas please let me know and I would love to show you around the focus on the MED VIP tour is Med Surg and if by looking at your name it doesn't look like your thing. Send me a PM and when you are here I can show you the less traveled areas.
