Hello everyone!

I have yet to see a forum for GCC's ADN Fall 2021, so I decided to make one since the application opens today! I know GCC is a lottery system, but I thought we can share stats, ask questions, and talk about anything in regards to the app!

I'm not sure if they have a public point system. All I read is an applicant needs to meet 75% of the chancellor's system.  If they do have a public point system, please drop it below!

I have not submitted my application yet, but here is what I will be applying with:

Core GPA: 4.0 (No repeats/withdrawals)

English GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.91

I have taken the TEAS twice (for other schools), but my first time was an 81.3 (since they only take the first attempt!)

Thanks for making the thread!  I haven't seen any publicly available chancellor calculations either.  Haven't submitted my application yet but I'll be applying with: 

Overall GPA: around a 3.4

Core GPA: 4.0 (no repeats/w)

English: AP credit

I haven't taken the TEAS yet, since I am planning on doing that after the application period deadline.  Best of luck to everyone applying!!  I know it was really competitive last cohort with like 30ish seats and 600+ eligible applicants.  Crossing my fingers

Hi guys! 

Thanks for the forum. I am glad to have found it. 

My stats are 

Prerequisite GPA: 3.61 

Overall 3.39

TEAS: 88.1 

Does anyone know if they take the highest grade earned and if Chem 65 (ELAC) is accepted for the chem prereq? 

Also, I did look on previous forums and basically it's all about luck for applicants that made the chancellors cut.

Thank you for replying! I believe if you withdrew/repeated, they may take points off. I'm unsure, but considering repeated/withdrawal seems important on their informational pdf document, you should double check with the college to be sure. Regardless, I do not believe Chem is an important determining factor since their main pre-reqs are Micro, Anatomy, and Physio. Good luck!

Yea I will have to call and ask because I did not retake the course at the same college. 

I took human physio at UCLA and got a B+ but then took it at LACC and got an A. I wonder if this still counts as a repeat

Hey guys. Did you request transcripts before GCC confirmed they received your application? 
am I able to send them electronically?

Yes, I sent mine electronically. They received it according to my school's transcript services.

Oh, I'm still an under grad, but thanks! I passed the deadline sadly, but it's okay. I applied to a few other CSUs; hopefully, it works out ?. Good luck to you!

hi! on the app, do you guys see where to specifically list the course names? there's one section but they only make us list the semester, year taken, institution, and grade.

There is no place to list specific courses. I think that is why they say on the application to send in your transcripts prior to submitting your application. They will go through your transcripts with the help of that information to verify you completed those courses.
