Another poster's article inspired the title.
A lot of replies in that thread mentioned how HR will ghost applicants during the process, to the point where it's actually a pleasant surprise even when you get an e-mail saying you weren't selected for an interview just so that you can get closure and move on.
What other "it's just the way things are" corporate/workplace situations bother you most?
For me, one of the top ones has to be we have to call out at least 4 hours in advance, but not more than 8 hours in advance, but we can be cancelled en route to a case. Or, lately, scheduling won't even let us know we're cancelled---we just show up to an empty house and it's only when we call in to the office that we're told "oh yeah, Patient So-and-So went into the hospital yesterday".

On my university campus, we pay a lot to park, even the parking lot miles away that requires a shuttle bus costs us.
However if there is a football/basketball game, employees must move their cars from certain lots by a certain time or be towed; sports fans need those spots.
It makes a point that sports fans outrank us.
