Getting Started with Gen. Ed courses for Excelsior

I have decided to get started with a couple of my gen ed classes I am going to CLEP Anal. and Interp Literature and do the Info Lit class. My question is in regards to the Info Lit class, is this like the other exams where you have to go to pearson vue to test or is something you can do from home. I was just wondering because I have seen people post where they had it done in an afternoon or a few hrs. so that makes me think I do this on my own computer and not at a testing site and I noticed the courses are about a month long so that is why I was asking, could someone clarify this for me. the one thru EC is an online class they give you 8 wks to finish it, i was done in 2hrs at home! =)
