Getting into the Nursing program!!!!

Published

Specializes in Nurse Technician.

Hello, friends!

I am currently a student at Century College, MN.

I am done with my prerequisite classes this spring semester!

When I applied for the BSN program I had a 3.3 GPA.

Can I still get into the program with a 3.3 GPA?

I am only 19 years old, and I am living with my fiancee.

I have my special circumstances (family problems/history) that makes it hard for me to do well in school because I work about 20-30 hours weekly, I am a full time student, and I take care of my younger siblings, but I still manage to keep a 3.3 GPA.

When I was writing my essays for the nursing application, I included all my special circumstances and information in it. Also, I've been working as a PCA for 2 years now and I am also a different nationality, so maybe that is a bonus to my nursing application?

I applied to Metro State University and the U of M-Twin cities.

I wanted to go into a 4-year degree (BSN).

What are my chances of getting accepted?

I'm really nervous and excited at the same time!

I hope that the admissions don't just look for high grades, but also our skills and experiences and passion for the Nursing industry.

Thank you so much!

Many blessings,

Gao Zoua

Most nursing programs require a 3.0, so i think that you will be fine :)
