getting into nursing, needing help on what next

Nurses Career Support

Published

I've been going to school for about one semester now trying to get pre-req. for the nursing program at Lewis and Clark or one of the surrounding schools, the more I looked into it Ive decided to go about it a little differently Im taking CNA classes at the moment. My long term goal is to be a nurse practitioner and to work my way up (CNA-LPN-RN-Practitioner) now that Ive started the CNA classes im trying to line up to start the LPN program in july/august. Ive gone up to sanford brown and am going up to st louis college of health careers this week. I need help on where to go from here...anyone gone to either school? or know of a good one to check out?

My question is why are you taking the long route? I would go straight for the BSN. You can work at the hospital while going to school.
