:nurse:Hi Guys,

Well this is my story. I have been trying to become a nurse for the past 10 years starting out slowly taking 1 class at a time slowly slowly climbing the ladder. Well 8 years and 3 babies later I entered nursing school and did very well. I didn't have any problems in school with the exception of the last semester which was the semester from hell but I passed and thats all that counts. Well I was offered a position on the floor that I did most of my clinicals on and accepted the position as a GN. I was in my GLORY:yeah:I started working right away and set a date to take the NCLEX. I made the horrible mistake:nono: of starting to work full time while I studied. Well I went in and took the test last November and found out 2 days later that I failed:bluecry1: I was absolutely DEVESTAED I not only had to tell EVERYONE that I failed I lost my job or should I say couldn't work until I passed. My boss said that she would not offer the position to anyone else and I should be ok after I test again. It did help that my hospital is on a freeze till Jan. Well needless to say I hit the books and HIT THEM HARD. I am in the process of doing Suzzannes plan, I am ariting my name with RN behind it EVERYWHERE, I have a very positive attitude and I am not thinking of failure. Now my problem I test the 3rd week in Jan and I am AFRAID. I cannot fail again. I HAVE to pass. I am getting nervous and am sweating. I am starting to look to much into questions and starting to have anxiety. I had a friend that took hers and passed the first time and said that part of her positive attitude went to everyone on here that gave her support. I really could use some now guys. Please help out. I will be forever gratful and any tips would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again :nurse: I WILL BE AN RN :nurse: I WILL BE AN RN

Hey newGN88, keep on doing what your doing and you will be fine. Try going over the sticky fact throwing forum. They have some really great information. i wish i had spent some time going over them myself. You mentioned that your in the process of doing Suzannes plan and from what I have read on this forum, you are in good hands. I too failed the nclex last week and I am staying positive and studying to retake it in the new year. It sounds like you are studying very hard and that is all that we can do. Just do your part and trust in god and he'll do the rest. I wish you the best of luck and I am looking forward to seeing your name with RN next to it. Happy New year to you and your family.

What God has for u is for u and no body and no one can take that from u! Dont worry just relax and its yours.God Bless :heartbeat

You have to be confident and know that you can do it!! You have to pray for guidance and study as well. Once you do your part by studying trust God to do his part as well. I will be praying for you!! Keep your head up!! You have what it takes to do it or you wouldn't have ever passed nursing school.

Whenever you find yourself getting upset and going off course, pinch yourself and very deliberately pick up your review book or click to a new question on your review CD, and force yourself to study another fact or question. You can do this. Wishing you good luck.
