I have heard that Pearson uploads the scores on Thursdays at midnight. This was confirmed by my local Pearson testing center. However, what does that mean with regard to licensure? I was hoping that meant that my license would be issued today (Friday). Would I be nuts if I called my SBON (Louisiana)? Our state is notoriously slow in issuing stuff. I'm leaving for vacation (my first in 3 years) on Sunday and can't wait a week to find out how I did.
TIA,

I talked to a friend who also took the NCLEX-RN here in California and she said that it should be on BRN website tomorrow if I passed..... I don't know since it's Saturday but she said that they do update on Saturdays.... I guess they just upload from Pearson or something like that. Good luck to you! I am on pins & needles right now just waiting!!!

Pearson-Vue posts results 48 hours out, if you are in a state that permits early notification. So that is also incorrect that they only upload on Thursdays. It is actually everyday. But passing the NCLEX exam is only one step of the licensing process, it depends on when your state assigns license numbers, it is not mandatory that they do it the next day, or even a week later. Each state sets their own rulings, and some do not even have specifics on this.

And for the CA BRN results, you also have 100% incorrect information. It is amazing with all of the rumors that exist. CA doesn't automatically post a license number when they get your score from Pearson-Vue.
When they receive your score, they manually place it in your file. When your file is complete, it is then reviewed by a human. Depending on where your file is in their pile, etc. will determine when you see your name posted. Alos, you will not see your name posted until your file is complete. Do you know for a fact that your school sent the transcripts in to the BRN in a timely fashion? It takes about two weeks from the time that they receive your transacripts for them to be reviewed. CA will permit a new grad to sit for the exam without having a complete file, as long as your name is on a list supplied by the school that you are expected to graduate. Then also depends on if your Live Scan result was reported, sometimes there are computer glitches.
The earliest that I have ever seen was three days, and that has been only one or two people, four days is the earliest, but that is definitely not the norm. Three to four weeks later is not unusualy either.
Your file is processed by a human and there is nothing is writing by the BRN as to when they must post your license.
Suzanne4 - can you tell me where I can find out about my state's process? I'm in Louisiana. I've tried looking on their website (https://www.lsbn.state.la.us/default.asp), but it's not helpful at all. LA doesn't allow early results from Pearson. This waiting is just about to make me sick. I can't even concentrate on simple tasks.
Thanks,
You can check for your name on the license verification area, but otherwise you will just need to wait until you receive your license. If your state is slow in its process, there is nothing that anyone can do about it. You will not get your results any quicker than they want you to have them.
The NCLEX exam is only one part of the licensure process.
