I have a BSN and I would like to get my MSN and teach nin a 2 year college. I am debating between doing it online (South University) and a local school here in Minnesota.
I am afraid that any future employer would not take a online MSN degree as seriously as a brick and morter institution (although South Universiy also has on campus degrees).
What has been you experience? Do employers care?

I am considering applying to UNM, Nursing Education program...how do you like it? Approx. how many hours a week do you dedicate to studying/writing papers? I work (3) 12 hr day shifts a week and I'm nervous that I won't be able to dedicate myself to studying; plus I've never done an online course. Just wanted your opinion on the program. Thanks!
I have a meeting with the Regis/ Network college people next week---what kind of questions should I be asking to compare them to other online master's programs??? Any ideas about other schools and financing??? Anybody KNOW a professor that teaches that got their MSN online??? What are the job prospects really??? Any schools out there online that require the GRE??? I am just starting, not very computer savy, and very overwhelmed..any practical advice/tips would be appreciated....

I looked at walden's online program, but after seeing Indiana Wesleyn's program I chose it. IWU's application and demo of their blackboard system took away a lot of my worries. I felt bogged down with Walden's web site. Any school where I couldn't look up whatever I wanted before giving my phone number was lower in my selection process. The price and accredidation also swayed me towards IWO.
