Getting married before taking the NLE. What to do???

Published

I was wondering if someone could help me with my situation...

I'll be graduating in April 2011 and plan to review and take the NLE (Philippines) in July. My problem is... my boyfriend (US citizen) will be here in The Philippines on April 2011 and we want to get married in order to start the process for a CR-1 Visa for me to go to the US.

If I get married on April 2011, the amount of paperwork to do and the wait time to get my name change from my maiden name to my married name will take a considerable amount of time.

Do I simply register in my maiden name, since I would technically be processing my requirements to take the NLE before I get married? CONFUSED! Please help! Thank you!

Shorter version: Graduating BSN in April 2011, Want to get married in April 2011, Processing requirements for the NLE, Do I simply put my maiden name, since I would have to turn in my requirements early?
