For later on RN jobs or BSN, even MSN education, do employers really look at LPN work experience? or it doesn't really matter.
I'm sure RN work experience counts as you look for RN jobs, you can say I'm an experienced RN in ICU. But I'm not sure how much does it count towards RN jobs for LPN work experience.

LPN experience really counts when you look for a job as an RN. I have a friend who almost got fired because she was in orientation for too long but was not grasping anything because she did not have that "LPN experience"
I`m an LPN in USA, wanting info
I`m an LPN in USA, wanting info about LPN licensure in Canada. What are the licensure procedures and how do you go about it?
Each province is different, you apply for college of nurses of the province you are interested in.
One thing puzzles me is that LPN in Canada is mostly 2-year program. I heard Ontario only accepts 2-year LPN school graduates, but I am not sure, it might not be true. As we all know LPN takes one year in US, it is possible your LPN credentials is not accepted there.
You can also look at Nova Sciota, it has one-year LPN school, so I assume US LPN education will be accepeted there. The problem is that this province is far from US, not convienent to work if you need to visit your home in the States often.
I know a Canadian LPN got her LPN license in Texas, but it took two years for the whole evaluation/transfer process.
Also, I'm interested to find out if US LPN is accepted in the States or not. If you later on find out, could you please let me know? You can also PM you. Thank you.

if you have hospital experience as an lpn you will have a better chance of getting the assignment you want as a new grad...at one point in time the hospitals in the central louisiana area were only hiring new grads who had been lpns that has changed as they have had to face a shortage and they have begun better orientation programs
