Getting into Douglas College and BCIT

Hello there, I have just finished my academic foundations in nursing at Douglas college and just received a letter saying I will not be getting into the Fall 2015 intake :(. How many of you guys have attended Douglas college for nursing and how many tries was it until you got in!? I also applied for BCIT, it says I am pending department review to begin in August. anyone else applying there? I hear it is really tough to get into so I'm pretty nervous about it.

Sorry to hear about Douglas, im sure that sucks to hear the news after you have spent a whole year trying. I have not applied to Douglas or BCIT but i have heard that it is quite competitive.

Just curious, have you tried to apply to other schools in the area?

Hey, yeah I was wait listed for fall 2015 but I am quite sure I will get into winter 2016 at Douglas. I am really hoping to get into BCIT though because I heard you can graduate with a specialization. I had no idea becoming an RN would be such a process. It's totally worth it though! I was thinking of applying to university of the Fraser valley but their intake is already closed for fall (I'm hoping to start sooner than later). Also, I was thinking of applying to kwantlen but I have friends that say I shouldn't apply there. Not really sure why.

Pumpkinn do you have an update? :) Does BCIT accept the credits of the academic foundations from Douglas? I've applied to Douglas and am thinking of BCIT too..
