Yes, really. Even those with many years experience are having a hard time right now. Not to say it's impossible--you never know what will happen. You will have to apply for everything you can find and use any contacts you may have that could help you. Networking seems like the best way to find openings. You will see many openings listed at hospitals, but they get tons of applicants as well. Can you volunteer somewhere or work as a CNA to make some contacts? That would be my suggestion. Thanks Crunch, still scared though..I had no idea it was so bad out there.. Even though some of my former classmates and a friend are in good positions to hire I do not feel out of the woods because I do not have BSN..(yet) I will be working on it ASAP..scaryyyy scaryyyy scaryy! But I have overcome too much to stop now!

I am entering an RN refhresher program soon,,long story how my license expired (but I will say girls.. never ever... under any circumstances... let anyone convince you to let it laspe)
Being a single mom now I need a good job (like we all do right?) and have no insurance..I have enough $ to get through my program.. the program director said "I will have you back to work in 90 days"
Kinda freaking out now after visitng this forum...and reading the article saying the average time looking for a job is 9 months., UGH!
