Getting accepted into a CSU nursing program with just below a 3.0?

Published

I'm in my second year of community college, completing the prerequisites needed to transfer to a CSU. My question is which CSU's nursing program do I have a chance of getting into? I've looked into almost all of them and they all require 3.0 GPA's which I can do by the fall but is it enough? (I really messed up my GPA my first year and I'm slowly but surely getting it higher than a 3.0 by the time I apply)

Focus on those core classes. GPA is the main thing that CSUs look at, along with TEAS scores. Depending on the school, some schools give a few points for having work/volunteer experience in a health care setting. Go on the schools' websites and see what they look at when they are calculating points.

I applied 8 schools of CSUs, I am super worry about if I don't get in anywhere. There are some CSUs in the center California seems less competitive, well I mean compare others. Also most of them only look at nursing prerequisite GPA, not overall. You can look about Bakersfield, Fresno, stanlulus, SB, etc. I didn't apply 2019 to the most competitive ones, all are outside the city ones.
