Hi all, Hope you are having a happy holiday season!! Iam going to bang out Chronicity and Repro next month but am wondering what study materials you used and where to get them. I was going to order the CDs from studygroup 101. Any good??? Also---what is Chronicity all about??? Is it another dry course like transitions???:uhoh3:

It's taking me longer than expected due to $$$ and time but I'm determined to finish in 2011!!!!:nurse:

Happy Holidays!!!!! ~~~~~~~Christine

so far i have taken 3 ece nursing exams.... transitions, health safety and chronicity. my opinion is that the best way to prepare for the exams is to use the ece free outline and the recommended text books. i started each of these courses by purchasing the studygroup 101 notes and primarily studied with those. then, two days before my exam i got out the outline and skimmed the textbooks. i will tell you that when i went to take the tests i was not as prepared as i would have been using the recommended text books. the studygroup 101 study guides are good, but they do not include everything. there were a lot of questions that i would not have gotten had i not reviewed my text book.

so....... for my last 4 exams i am going off of the ec outline and recommended textbooks primarily. i dont buy the edition they recommend because it is too expensive. i buy one to two editions older for about $4 a book on thriftbooks.com.

hope this helps! good luck!

ditto what Shar said! i love the text and the content guides...also the practice exams through ec if you can afford them...they are worth their price in gold and questions the real exam have looked pretty similar to those on the practice exam

i used the required text in older editions for the health safety and there was plenty in them that wasn't on the college network books. Also i only used college network for my microbio and there was so much that was not in the collegenetwork book i wish i had used another book. i got an A, but i swear it was God if you believe in him and lucky guesses that allowed me to pass that test that way. now for chronicity i am using my funds book and the study guide, did that with transitions too.

Thanks everyone--I purchased SG101 Chronicity and Repro. we'll see how it goes!

You should always start with doing the recommended readings in the texts but there are many people who pass the exams only using study notes from SG101 or Lisa Arends or even others. Whatever works for you. The more you study, the better prepared you will be.
