Does anyone know how long it takes to get the actual IL RN license after one takes boards? (I will be taking boards late June) I know when we find out if we passed, but how long does it to get the actual license?
Thank you!

Illinios is notorious for taking a long time to process the paper work. If I remember correctly, It took about 2 months to get my in the mail. It was a real pain in the butt. BUt, I must also add, that I didn't fill out my paper work correctly. So, my bad!! Make sure everything is answered when applying for your license. This could cause a hold up on testing and recieving your license.

I want to say it was a couple of weeks. I didn't think the wait was bad. The waiting to take the test was a LOT longer. I graduated in May and couldn't test until the end of July. I had my license before the middle of August.
Just make sure you send the money for your license in right away once you get the paperwork that you have passed your exam.
I'm not sure if the previous poster graduated awhile ago or not. I just graduated last year so maybe they've gotten their act together since then.
