State Survey

i think my state survey will start on tuesday. only have been a don for six months, so i am scared. always worked 3-11 and the surveyors were always gone when i came in, or shortly after!

i was in the same place you were last year. i was a brand new adon for 4 months when we had our survey. the don has her office in another facility with the survey going on there as well, so i was pretty much on my own.

being as new as i was to the facility, i found it extremely helpful to have my charge nurse with me when the state had their questions and, they also were aware of the fact that i had been on the job only 4 months. the one thing that they were really focused in on was the care plans. make sure they have the appropriate interventions.

we came out of this survey with flying colors, i hope you do the same as well! then take a week off and relax!
