Georgia State University Spring '14 RN-BSN Program

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hey all!

Anyone else applying for GSU's Spring 2014 online RN-BSN program? Patiently (not!) awaiting a response on acceptance...I've heard and read about how competitive the traditional and ACE nursing programs are there, but haven't really gotten any feedback on the professional bridge program.

Thanks in advance! : }

Hey! I just saw that Georgia State added a RN-BSN program and stumbled upon your post! Hopefully you were accepted! Do you happen to know what their curriculum looks like? I can't find too much information about the program since it is so new!

I graduate with an ASN in May from UNG (formerly North Georgia College and State University.) I did not get in to the RN-BSN bridge at my own school (nor did almost every applicant at our school.) I have a 3.81 gpa! They are looking for folks who are: working in a hospital already, whether an LPN or a PCT (patient care tech), folks who are members of professional organizations such as GANS, folks taking the Leadership class at our school (4 semesters of MORE papers and crap), and all core classes for BSN done. You may get in with a 3.5 if your core classes are done, or if you are an LPN, or maybe a combo of the above mentioned. Otherwise, GPA alone gets you nowhere at UNG. Not even for current students! I'm looking into RN-BSN bridge programs, hopefully online, that I can use my Hope Scholarship (which I only have until summer 2015.) Anybody have any ideas? Oh, and hopefully a school that is not competitive!!! I would just like to apply and give them my money, haha! I'm tired of competing for a good life! I'll always work hard, but I hate the politics. I don't want to waste my Hope! I will take the 3 core classes I need this summer, but I'm probably out of time to apply for an RN-BSN bridge that starts before next summer. Clayton State looks good, Columbus State seems doable...just don't know what the process of admission is like! If anyone is looking for out of state, Liberty online and South Alabama online are good options, if Georgia Highlands doesn't work out!

Hey were you accepted? And how many spots do they have?
