Hello everyone. I noticed a forum hasn't been started for the Spring 2019 ACE cohort. Who else has applied? The deadline isn't until October 1st. I did not make the cut for Fall, so this will be my second and final time applying. Who else has applied? ACE or traditional? Let's keep each other informed.
I was accepted to the Traditional program via email on 10/23/2018. I never received an acceptance packet in the mail. There were 2 forms attached to this email that must be faxed or emailed back to the SON by 11/9. PINS review must be completed by 11/30. All Traditional Packet forms (included in the PINS review) must be submitted by 12/14. It looks like the program has to be done in 3 years -- the program won't allow summer semesters seeing as ACE students take summer semesters. I've arranged to meet up with an academic adviser to discuss this, seeing as I already have a BS in Psychology from Georgia Tech. Anyone in the same boat and is able to transfer their credits from undergrad over // is it even possible? Looking forward to meeting everyone in Jan!
For anyone that needs to know the deadlines for ACE here is what I received:
The Acceptance Form and the Behavior Policy Form were to be turned into the Byrdine F. Lewis offices by November 9th. I'm not sure when the PINS review quiz is supposed to be completed, but I would do it ASAP. And the background check, Liability Insurance, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate, immunizations, TB reports, and CPR certifications are all due by December 14th I believe. Some of these have documents that must be uploaded to ACEMAPP. I'm not sure what ACEMAPP is, but the instructions for the uploads will be given to students on November 30th.
No I think the acceptance form is just the deadline that the accepted people have to state that they've accepted. The form would say "xyz has until this date to submit that they agree to go into the program" if that deadline was Nov 9, thats only a week since then, so everyone should be hearing back in short order. Hope this helps.
@dga123, this was for you :)
