Georgia State Nursing Fall 2015

Published

Hi! My name is Ali and I am applying for Georgia States nursing program for the Fall of 2015 :) I wanted to start a new thread early before all applications were submitted and we could all talk about how things are going with the application process. Feel free to submit what your stats are! Just curious as to where we are all standing. Good luck everyone :)

@gailcg I was referring to the the application status tab off the regular gsu admissions site... gsu.edu> admissions>Undergrad admissions>application status. It might show up on paws also. She told me we would also get an email. You can also download your acceptance letters from that tab also for the schools acceptance and the nursing when they update it. Good luck though. I hope you get in. :-)

I wonder if GSU has sent out many letters. I noticed someone in the KSU Fall 2015 thread mentioned she received an acceptance from GSU at the beginning of March, but then again she applied at the end of January. Thanks for the tip dayecota18!

I received my acceptance letter today in the mail for the traditional track. I applied to both, but didn't make the cut for the ACE track. I have a 4.0 GPA and scored a 91.4 on the TEAS. I think I'm going to Mercer because I don't want to extend the time I'm in school. Good luck to all of you. Hang in there!

I also got my acceptance for the Traditional track today from GA State (I didn't apply for accelerated). It's dated from last week, came today and they want my intent to enroll exactly one week from today (April 24)! I also applied to Kennesaw, which is where I am now and my first choice. KSU letters may not go out until next week (or later, if you believe what you read on this site). I would like to think the different schools in the GA system would coordinate when they send out letters so that we have an equal amount of time to decide where we want to go. This doesn't overshadow that I can exhale a little, knowing that my hard work to get in to a program did pay off. Best of luck to all of you that you get what you're hoping for in the mail very soon!

@Starfish2012 it's possible that she did receive her letter...all letters have to be sent by May 1st. So we could hear something any day...I'm always at the mailbox checking for letters...good luck! ☺

Yea, Ive been a nervous wreck about it! Checking my mailbox everyday, and nothing every time. I just hope it is soon, so I at least KNOW.. whether good or bad, so I can prepare. Good luck to the rest who are still waiting.

Also, I did get an email the same day that my snail mail letter arrived saying there was new information about my application status, so you should get notified both ways. Best of luck!

@bunnehfeet, CNA, when did you turn in your application, if you don't mind me asking??

I submitted my online application on February 27th. I hated doing it last minute, and it didn't help that the form was glitchy - it caused me tons of anxiety. I waited so long because I was waiting for notification that my references had submitted their letters (I didn't want to bug my profs by asking), which never arrived. I got email confirmation that all of my documents and application had been received on March 1. Problem is, KSU hasn't sent their letters yet (though we were told "mid-April" when we applied) - and I have to tell Georgia State on Thursday. Hoping those KSU letters go out today! I submitted my KSU application back in December last year.

@bunnehfeet, I didnt turn my application in until March 1st so hopefully I should hear something by the end of next week. I hope you get into the school you desire. Good luck and congrats on your acceptance.

I got my denial letter today for GSUí ½í¸¢ ...but I received an acceptance letter to Georgia Baptist. Good luck to everyone.

I was accepted to Kennesaw's program which is 4 semesters and 1 summer versus Georgia State's 6 semester program, so I will be declining my acceptance to Georgia State, hopefully that will free up some space for anyone on the waiting list. Best of luck to all of you!
