Is anyone currently in the nursing program at GSW? I am applying as a second degree BSN student for fall of 2016. I'm wondering how competitive of a program it is? I'm currently a teacher, so I will either be teaching again in August, or I will be starting the program. Obviously I'm very anxious about it, especially not knowing if admission is competitive or not.

I am applying there too for fall 2016 traditional program. My Gpa is 3.5 and 86 on the teas

Cool, good luck loveson! Any idea how competitive admission is? We have the same score on TEAS, my undergrad GPA was around 3.6 I think.

I found out today that I was accepted into the GSW nursing program :) If anyone is looking at going to this school please feel free to send me a message. I was a nervous wreck not having anyone to get info from so I will be glad to help anyone that is in the same situation later on.

Hi! Congrats! ☺️ I will be attending GSW in the fall as well for the 2nd degree son program. I have yet to visit the school and heard Americus is really small. Are you staying on campus or will you be commuting from home?

Congratulations to you! I will be commuting either from Tifton or Albany. Americus is a pretty average sized town for rural South Georgia. I wouldn't say that it is "really" small, but it certainly isn't big. Will you be living in Americus?

Thank you! I'm excited! I only know one other person that will be attending GSW son in the fall. I'm not sure if I'll be living in Americus or commuting, still working on those details. I heard the school/experience is good. Have you registered for classes yet?

Not yet, have you? I tried to register but I got an error message saying I needed my advisors approval so I guess I need to email her. You are the first person I have talked to that is starting in the fall, I was hoping someone would eventually respond on here 🙂

Sorry I have been busy with work. I can't reply to PM because I needat least 15 posts since i'm new to the site, smh. I won't be attending on the 3rd but I will try to attend the july 8 one. Im anxious to register for classes and your advisor does the registering for you.
