We are in the same boat. I took the GRE today and fell a couple of points short. Im debating if I should retake the GRE or just go ahead and take the MAT. I just graduated in December and i literally spent about two weeks studying for the GRE i wish i had more time. Was the MAT difficult? Also, I worked as a CNA full time from 2009-2012 and I currently work as a Mental Health Tech/nurse tech at a hospital and Ive been doing that for two years full time.

@hutks,
GPA 3.43
GRE 292
For the interview I would def recommend reading over some of the CNL white paper. That is what I used to prep for the interview. I researched the role of the CNL and combined that with my own previous experience. They might ask you how your previous work or academics will help you in the CNL role.
Good luck to all!

Awww Man! That's ok. I took the MAT twice and fell short on both times 1st 265 and 2cnd 275. I told myself to keep the faith and hopefully all my other points will over come these scores. The MAT was a little hard. It's just that you have to know alot about everything. Some of the words on the test I never seen in the life. But I tired my best! I have alots of medical background. I am a CMA and Lab Tech. I have been doing this for about 13 years now, So I am really hoping to get an Interview. If you don't mind me asking what is your GPA and scores?
Thanks!
Wow you have a lot of medical experience as well!! Yea i got a 282 combined GRE score I was so close. I had a lot of problems with my timing during the test so i have to work on that. I am going to study realllllly hard this time to pull that score up. My GPA from undergrad is at a 2.96 as well. However, my school uses the +/- system and GRU doesn't so they will recalculate the GPA and it may actually be a 3.0 once they count some of my A- as a A. I also have 3 more prerequisites in progress so that should help as well. Im honestly just waiting for them to recalculate my GPA so i can know what it really is and have better picture of where I stand. Did you consider taking the GRE instead of the MAT?
What is the +/- system! I did consider the GRE but it just cost alot and it is a 4 hr. test. I am really not good at these type of test. What pre-reqs you have left?
Oh okay yea it is verrrry expensive im upset I have to take it again. The +/- system is when the school uses grades such as A+ A- B+ B- if you received a A- that would be an A for GRU and a A+ would just be a A as well because they do not use the +/- system. I am taking A&P and micro so I'll have A&P 2 left to take summer semester. What about yourself? What prerequisites do you have left?

My interview is Jan. 16th in Athens! Yay!
My GPA from my first degree is a 3.18, and I have no idea what it is when combined with the prerequisites I've taken, but I know my prerequisite GPA is a 3.4ish. I got a 307 on the GRE last month, and I've been working as a patient care tech at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for about 6 months now. The only prerequisite I have left to take is microbiology, and I'm taking it this semester.
O.. Ok... so my GPA should be a llittle higher then. I am in A & P II and Human growth and Development. I am taking Micro this summer.
