Has anyone taken Anatomy and Physiology at GPC on the web. I am trying to decide if the web class is worth not having to drive to campus. Any advice on this class (web or not) would be great.

Thanks

I took A&P on the Decatur Campus and did well. However, I do know someone that took it online and did equally as well. If you are extremely dedicated and disiplined, you should have no problem.

After I noticed I didn't want to go online for Algebra 1111 (as easy as it was), I knew without question that online classes weren't for me. :chuckle

Good Luck to ya though.

Oh yea, go on http://www.ratemyprofessors.com and see how the online instructor rated. The majority of the professors are listed.

I took A &P 1 & 2 at the Lawrenceville campus. I had Nicholson as my professor, and she was incredibly tough. Not sure I could have done it online. Physiology is tough enough, and I imagine even tougher when you don't have someone actually explaining it to you. I learned a lot, but it wasn't easy. Definitely lookup your professor online at RateMyProfessor.com. I never register for a class without researching the instructors. When you have a choice between instructors, it helps to be informed. Good luck.

I took A & P I and II at the Lawrenceville campus (Dr. Sanchez for I and Nicholson for II). I enjoyed both of these professors, and feel that I learned a lot. I had several friends who did the class online, and I thought they were going to have a nervous breakdown!! Dr. Aliff teaches many (if not all) A & P classes online, and while people love him in person - I heard he is almost impossible online. I think I would stick to the traditional route!

Specializes in Med/Surg.

I took A&P II on-line with Dr. Aliff and got an A. It's extremely important to keep up with everything. It's the only class I took other than the lab in the fall of last year. I have to say I really missed being in a classroom because sometimes people ask questions that you wouldn't think to ask, so I took Microbiology at Rockdale this semester. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

Thanks guys. I am taking it either at Dunwoody, Clarkston or Decatur...not sure which yet. The ratemyprofessors website is great, thanks...it steered me clear of Penniman. I don't think I will take it online. I'm doing online classes now for my gen ed stuff, but I miss the classroom.

I wouldn't recommend A&P on the web. There is Wayyyyyyyyyyy too much info. You need an instructor lecturing so you know what your required to know for tests. Levinson was very good but very fast. Shaneholtzer also very good, goes slow and lectures in outline form. Both Dunwoody professors
