Darton College Summer 2011

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the summer 2011 program a couple weeks ago. Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and HESI score if you don't mind me asking. My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I have not taken the HESI yet. Also, I applied to the Darton College. If I don't get accepted for the summer, I'll just apply for the fall.

Thanks

I was just accepted into the Spring Hybrid program at Darton and I'll start on the 5th. My overall GPA is currently a 3.7, but when I applied it was around a 3.5 my HESI Score overall was an 85 though. Your GPA is good and just make sure that you study your anatomy and simple conversions for math and you should get in with no problem. I wish you the best of luck...Oh yeah the study guide is helpful in the math, vocab, and reading comprehension, but the anatomy that section is just a guide. Still a nice item to pick up though! ;)

A friend on mine was recently accepted into Darton and starts in january however I will apply sor Summer 2011 as well. Good Luck!

Hey Barbie. Thank you so much for responding. Congrads on your acceptance. I'm in Atlanta, so if accepted I will be relocating to complete school. I am sooo worried about the HESI. Is there an actual anatomy part or are anatomy words just throughout the tests. Also, are the vocabulary words the exact words that's on the test or is it only a guide as well.

Hi I just applied to Darton yesterday with hopes of getting in the one day a week bridge program that starts in October 2011. I also live in Atlanta. Is this the same bridge program you guys are talking about? I know they have several different one's.

What do you all think my chances are? So far I have taken (online):

Micro

Eng I

Medical term

Phed

Amer. Gov

Human growth and development

The spring semester (Jan 10-May 5th) Im taking the following (online):

A+P I

U.S History

Public Speaking (??maybe, but I doubt it bc I want to really focus on getting a A in A+P I)

I will be taking A+P II during the summmer 2011

So far my GPA is 3.7 and of coorifice I still need to take the HESI.

I think your chances are good. Just study your a+p for the HESI and you should be good. Since you're taking a+p II this summer it should be fresh. The test truly wasn't too hard, just relax before you take it is the best advice. I think if you stay on the same track that you're on you should get in with flying colors. My fingers are crossed for you, but again I think you'll do fine. :)

You're so welcomed. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, but don't worry about the HESI. There is an actual anatomy and physiology section on the test and that portion is only 30 questions. In hindsight that portion of the test really wasn't too hard. If you're doing pretty good in your A+P now then you should be good. You should brush up on it though. There is also a math, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and self assessment on the test as well. The study guide is useful for all sections, but don't use it for anatomy and expect what was in the book to be exactly whats on the test like the other sections because that portion is just a guide. The best I can say is to relax and don't cram and you'll do fine. ;)

The study guide for the HESI is coming in saturday and I am so excited to start studying!!! I also was wondering, for the A&P portion, do you remember some questions specifically, like dealing with the heart or lungs for example??!?!?! I was just curious!! I also wanted to say thank you for helping me out when I was in such need of answers! Good luck with everything! ;)
