How many days a week do you attend class? Is it about the same every semester or does it change? I applied for the Spring semester and I live about 2 hours away. I am just trying to figure out how many days I'll be driving if I get in there. What are the typical hours? Are clinicals included in the classroom hours? TIA!!!

The first semester you will probably be at school 5 days a week for at least a few hours if not 4-8. The days you aren't in class, you have clinicals or checkoffs. The time at school is reduced each semester, but is at least 3-4 days until the last semester, which goes down to 3 days a week (including clinicals).

Wow! That's a lot. I didn't realize it would be that many days a week! Well, at least I am done with my non-nursing courses so I can focus on the nursing classes :) I hope I get in!

i just finished the first semester and we were in class two days a week and had pla checkoffs on monday we had clinicals two days a week or on the week ends

this semester we have clas one day a week and a test every other week and then we have clinicals one day a week for twelve hours good luck hope you do well

Thank you so much. I actually start at Kennesaw in the Summer!

Could anyone clarify if you get to pick when clinicals are (ie. can you pick WEEKDAYS versus WEEKENDS?) I need to ensure clinicals are not on the weekend and would love any confirmation from someone in the program at GPC now. Thank you.

I don't have any way to verify this, but I was told that weekend clinicals are typically in places a bit farther from ATL like Rockdale Medical and that you can elect to do them over weekday clinicals if you would like to volunteer for them. Again, though.. this is just what I was told from another student. I was accepted for Spring and the letter says basically that you must be available during the weekdays and the FAQ on their website says, "You must keep your schedule open from 8:00am-5:00pm everyday, Monday-Friday. There will be two days out of the week that clinical rotations will start as early as 6:30am and end 4:00pm," but it doesn't say anything about Sat/Sun. Best of luck!
