Georgia Hospice

Published

Hi there, Im a hospice nurse here in Florida and love it! I am relocating to the west side of Atlanta (Douglasville, Powder Springs, Hiram, Dallas) in the next 5 months and wondered, since there are too many, which hospices have:

1) Fair RN compensation (I currently make 25.55 per hour/40hrs .44 per mile and 28 days PTO per year)

2) Decent cost of health insurance (for myself and children-united health care 220 per month)

3) Has a decent pediatric program (if possible) Im currently a pedi-case manager, but have done adult hospice too and the oh so fun admissions

4) Good reputation of treating its employees like they are worth something!

5) Bonuses?????? Hey christmas ones are awesome. Gotta ask.

AM I ASKING TOO MUCH??? LOL I WILL TAKE 1 AND 2 IF I CAN AQUIRE A POSTITION.

Hope I'm not being too nosy-but how long have you worked at current job to make $25/hr? Now I feel underpaid, and I live here in Florida also.

I have been with hospice 2 years but have 15 years pediatric experience this company pays you for your experience.

Specializes in Hospice, OR, Home Health, Orthopedics.

I have 30 years nursing experience in varied fields, and 8 of it in Hospice with a CHPN. I currently make almost 29 and some cents in Georgia. Do you think, and I know you can't really say, but do you think your company would meet that salary as Case Manager? that would be a comparable job to mine.

thanks

Jen

I do really think so. The cost of living is rapidly changing down here though. An average style home costs 200k rents for a 3/2 range 900-1400 depending on what area you live in. This is the reason Im looking to relocate, its getting expensive.
