Georgia Gwinnett College - Surveys or Principles of Chemistry - Which is Best for TEAS Prep?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

Just a brief background on me...I gotta say, it's been some time since I've made my presence known here. A long time in fact. I was scarred by my past failures to succeed elsewhere. I was so close, but got caught up in the drama, the politics that can plague programs and student moral. At the end of the day, the decisions I made were mine alone and they cost me. The one takeaway I can share with you is to not make those mistakes. Keep your head in your books and focused on doing all you can in your clinical days and make your dreams HAPPEN! Don't let anyone else's vibes sway yours.

Now that I got that off of my shoulders, I can move forward to continue my dreams. I plan to return to the nursing path and am refreshing my ins and outs of what the best steps are to success. I plan to go to GGC in the near future and noticed they have a Survey's and a Principles of Chemistry 1 & 2 with their own labs respectively. As far as nursing goes, I know there isn't a high level of Chemistry knowledge needed to do NCLEX style questions. I made it up to Peds/OB Nursing and learned that. But for the sake of preparing for the TEAS examination, I would like to know which of the 2 you all felt in your own experiences were helpful, if at all. I didn't need Chemistry in my first program luckily, however since I am trying alternative colleges, I have to complete it for most other programs to accept me. If anyone out there feels one or the other helped, I would truly appreciate the feedback. I've been out of college now since 2016, and might ease myself back into some easier courses for the first semester. However, it is always good to find out what others think.

Thank you in advance for any info you have to share :)
