Georgetown online FNP... transfer?

I am a full-time student at Georgetown online FNP program. :bookworm: Halfway through my first semester. I am considering transferring but wanted some advice from those of you that are in other online FNP programs and/or graduated from them. Reasons I am considering transferring are:

(1) Cost, I always knew it was expensive but ~70k :uhoh3: for ONLINE is really starting to hit me now.

(2) No real flexibility, difficult to work and go to school

(3) Internet variability, my internet bumps me frequently while in the synchronous (live class sessions are 2 hours a week) So in addition to paying a lot for the school there are hidden cost with internet and they do not want you to use Skype so you have to use landlines (who has that anymore :o) or cellphone (cellphone = more money to spend).

I am not sure if paying all this extra money in the end will help me anymore in getting a FNP job when I am done. Even when I do get my degree I cannot go to the graduation because Georgetown only offers it once a year in May. I am paying all this money and Georgetown cannot even give me a chance to walk?

Anyways, I just wanted opinions from others who are in an online FNP program or have graduated from one and what your experience with it was. Do you recommend my transferring?

Thank you.

There are many other schools under 70K. You get what you put into it My state school is 24K, you and I will both have the same degree.... I don't have time to sit in a lecture, that's why I picked online. And who has dial up?

I just finish an online FNP program through a state university. I would definitely recommend this route. Far cheaper than private tuition & little difference in the programs. I think balancing full time school with work and life will be inherently difficult whether online or live. I was happy with the online program as it allowed me to live where I wanted. You just need reliable Internet but that's pretty standard for life these days. I had no problems plugging directly into my cable modem.
