I know this post is a year late, but I'm a graduate of Georgetown's CRNA program. Interviews were held for us during Oct-Nov of the year before you begin classes. If you interviewed Fall of 2013, got accepted and decided to go to Georgetown then I'm guessing you just started classes and are completely overwhelmed with information overload at this point. Any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Hi westcoast1 and goodgrief :)

I was just wondering if you may able to tell me how to prepare for the interview at Georgetown. It is my first time interviewing for CRNA school and I have never been to DC so I am truly nervous for this interview. Just wondering if you may have any advice for me regarding the interview. Thank you so much.

If you've had good ICU experience you should be able to answer any clinical question they throw at you. They asked me a few. Other than that they just want to know why you want to become a CRNA, if you understand the commitment/dedication required, and how you are financially. It's kind of a group interview setting with individual interviews as well. I interviewed in 2009, so it may have changed a bit since then. The program director is still the same though.

Thank you so much goodgrief! I really appreciate this very much!

One clinical question they asked me was: A patient arrives to your SICU intubated, O2 sats are 75% with good waveform, what is the FIRST thing you do?

Thank you so much again! I really appreciate your kindness and willingness to help me. If it's okay, would it be alright to email you? I just want to ask what did you like about the program and how was your experience in the program. My email is [email protected] just in case. Thanks again and hope you have a great day!:)
