Georgetown Decision

Nursing Students SRNA

Has anyone heard from Georgetown regarding their decision for the Fall of 2009. I am tormenting over whether I got in or not. Does the "I hope to see you" line at the end of the interview mean anything?

from my experience you will get an acceptance email the monday following the interview. I have never heard of being accepted without the email, but maybe it happens?? I just know that everyone I know that is in, received the email.

I know someone who interviewed at Georgetown in late October of 2007 and was told he wouldn't hear until late December. Sure enough, he got a letter the week before Christmas saying he was wait listed.

(My friend was admitted to Georgetown in April 2008.)

I also have not heard from Georgetown. I expect they will inform candidates via email. At the interview some of the current SNRAs at Georgetown stated they waited longer than the Monday following the interview. This is a holiday week, so I would not expect to hear anything until next week at the earliest. Faculty stated it may take until the end of the 2nd week in Dec. before all of the decisions are made. We should here from them by then. Best of luck!

I did not get the email the Monday following my interview, so I guess that means I did not get in. The admissions coordinator said that 'official decisions' will be mailed two weeks after the interview. I suppose it will be a rejection letter for those of us who did not get an email.:o

I was told by the admissions coordinator that they might setup an additional interview date because of the amount of highly qualified candidates applying. So I guess they want to wait after they interview all candidates before making a decision?

Thanks for your reply. Best of luck to you, also. I now feel hopeful.

E-mail came out today saying no decisions have been sent out. They will be sent out via US mail no later than Dec 15.

I am on the wait list this year, i would like to know or hear your advice, knowing that your friend went to the same path.

Any idea how many people gets in the wait list?

the unknown its hard to take, i guess i have to wait till april.

thanks.

I attended this program. Be glad you're on the waitlist. You could very well get in as I know a few people accepted off the waitlist. Keep applying. This is a good education but it's one of the hardest programs and the faculty is not supportive at all. Many of us feel that we couldn't recommend the program to friends due to the anti student attitude. No concern for whether you pass or not. If u get in somewhere else- I would take it. However, if this is all you have, then do it, getting the degree is all that matters.
